LANGDON COURT PARTNERS – KETTLE CO AND WILLIAMS & SONS
KITCHEN
Williams & Sons creates bespoke handcrafted kitchens in the West Country using the finest artisan craftsmanship and expert design. Their kitchen masterpieces can be found in beautiful homes across the South West. Great design and craftsmanship has been in their blood since Tim Williams started building artisan furniture over 45 years ago. Now run by his son Dale, Williams & Sons has built a reputation as one of UK’s finest artisan kitchen companies.
Dale Williams, Managing Director said: “Langdon Court is a testament to the visionary concept of Donna and Robert, and we are thrilled to have had the opportunity to work with them on this remarkable project. Our collaboration throughout the design stages ensured that there was no compromise between the aesthetic and practical demands for the space.
Williams and Sons set out to create a kitchen at Langdon Court that would be both beautiful and functional, while still paying homage to the history of the property. We succeeded in creating a unique hybrid kitchen that combined the best of both commercial and residential design, resulting in a stunning kitchen that is truly one-of-a-kind. The kitchen was designed to work within the architectural parameters of the property, and the team at Williams and Sons took great care to ensure that the design was both sympathetic to the history of the property and aesthetically pleasing. We have delivered a beautiful kitchen that has the workings of a full commercial kitchen, but with a delicate and residential design, this gap has not been bridged before, and the result is a fully functional and stylish space that can be appreciated for home cooking, socialising and for commercial use.
Chris, our lead fitter of the Manor Kitchen and Potwash, loved Langdon so much that we lost him to Dazzler’s charm and Donna’s fabulous lunches. Apparently, I don’t bake potatoes the way that Donna does! It is testament to what a fabulous, close knit team of talented tradesmen and women and artisans Donna and Robert have built in the renovation of Langdon Court.
We are excited to continue our partnership with Donna and Robert as we embark on the next chapter of Langdon Court’s story – the restoration of the Edwardian wing. With their inspiring vision and our expertise in design, we look forward to creating a space that honours the rich history of Langdon Court while embracing modernity and innovation.”
TEA & TOAST ROOM
Kettle Co Kitchens is an award winning, independent, family-owned company with high standards, driven by their vision of perfection in design, craftsmanship and sustainable practices. Kettle Co is not an average kitchen supplier – in fact there’s nothing average about them at all.
Kettle Co Kitchens said: “At the heart of the Tea and Toast Room is Kettle Co’s popular signature range, featuring the St Mawes doors. The stunning simplicity of the St Mawes shaker-style door is accentuated by its narrow frame, providing a refined look and feel. The doors are finished in a warm teal colour, creating a bold and eye-catching focal point that immediately draws attention as you step into the room.
Small spaces can present big challenges, but with our bespoke furniture, we were able to turn a petite space into a stunning masterpiece. Our innovative design allowed us to incorporate unique storage solutions into every nook and cranny of the kitchen, ensuring that there was a home for everything without compromising on the open and airy feel. From pots and pans to spices and utensils, our clever storage solutions made every inch count, delivering a perfectly proportioned tea and toast room that was as practical as it was beautiful.
Designed for residential use only at Langdon Court, the Tea & Toast room represents a stylish, and cosy space that is functional, yet an inviting place to relax in.”
Co-owner Donna Ida Thornton said: “The quality of the work by Kettle Co and Williams & Sons has been exceptional. We asked them to create the unique Dressing Room which features chicken wire and Colefax and Fowler check lining. I also love the Tea & Toast room for a lovely cosy country feel with a modern twist.”
